Woman Shoots Husband Over Divorce Request in Arizona, Arrested for Theft and Forgery

A woman in Arizona, USA, shot her husband after he asked for a divorce. The police have arrested the woman. The couple had been living separately for several months, and the husband’s request for a divorce led to an altercation, resulting in the woman shooting her husband. While the husband was injured, fortunately, his life was spared.

Gunfire Erupts Over Divorce Request

The incident occurred on September 20 when 62-year-old Christina Pascaleto arrived at her husband John Pascaleto’s residence in Prescott, Gilbert, late at night. John Pascaleto was alone at home. Upon her arrival, John once again demanded a divorce from Christina. This request ignited an argument between the husband and wife. When John told Christina that he hadn’t made up his mind yet and still wanted a divorce, the woman took out a gun and fired at her husband.

Allegations of Forgery and Theft Acknowledged

Police reported that the gunshot hit John’s hand, but he managed to push Christina away and flee the scene. John left his home and reached his neighbors, where he informed the police about the incident. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene and arrested the woman.

John also alleged that Christina had committed forgery and stolen $10,000 in checks and other belongings from his house. During the interrogation, the woman confessed to the theft and forgery allegations as well.
