India’s First International Trade Fair in Uttar Pradesh Kicks Off

The first-ever international trade fair in Uttar Pradesh (UP) is set to commence today at the India Expo Centre and Mart. The event will be inaugurated by President Draupadi Murmu at 4:00 PM. This five-day trade fair will witness participation from over 2,000 producers and 300 brands, and it will be open to the general public from September 22nd to 25th free of charge. Additionally, the fair will feature a Mini Auto Expo, showcasing vehicles from 32 automotive companies.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will welcome President Murmu on this occasion. After the inauguration ceremony, the general public will have free access to the fair starting at 5:00 PM, and this will continue from 22nd to 25th September, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The government anticipates that nearly 2.5 lakh people, including buyers from more than 60 countries, will attend the fair.

With over 2,000 producers and 300 brands participating in this five-day trade fair, stalls are set up in different halls of the Expo Mart. The state government has invited all types of producers to showcase their products at the fair. The UP government’s Additional Chief Secretary, Amit Mohan Prasad, mentioned that entrepreneurs from all 75 districts of UP will exhibit their products at the event. All the products exported from the state will also be present at the fair. Furthermore, this event offers an opportunity for new startups that have started their businesses in the last two to three years.

In addition to this, women entrepreneurs will have a separate platform to exhibit their products. They also noted that 54 Geographical Indication (GI) products from one district, one product schemes will be showcased at the fair. Buyers from over 60 countries are expected to attend, with over 68,000 registrations for business visits received so far.

The fair will feature a wide array of UP’s delicious cuisines from various districts. Food stalls will be set up outside Hall Number 15, offering a taste of delicacies from places such as the ‘Brij Ki Gali’ and Awadh.

To ensure convenience for attendees, organizers have arranged free shuttle bus services from the Noida Botanical Garden and Okhla Bird Sanctuary Metro stations. These shuttle buses will operate every 30 to 40 minutes to transport visitors to and from the fair. Moreover, pickup and drop facilities will also be provided from major hotels in the city.

The entry gates for visitors will be at Hall Number 1 and 3. Visitors are advised to park their vehicles in the designated parking areas and proceed to the entry gates. Parking passes can be downloaded from the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Fair’s website. After parking, visitors can reach Entry Gate Number 1 and 3 on foot or via shuttle bus service. Each shuttle bus will accommodate 16 passengers.

  • Hall 7: Noida Authority, Tourism, Environment, and Forest Department stalls.
  • Hall 8: Education, Swachh Bharat Mission, Skill Development, Construction, and Infrastructure stalls.
  • Hall 9: ODOP stalls.
  • Hall 10: New Small Ventures, Women and Budding Entreprises, Toys, GI Products.
  • Hall 11: Agriculture, Food Processing, Horticulture, Mandi, and Agri-Exports stalls.
  • Hall 12: Renewable Solar Energy, Automobile, Energy, Logistics, Textiles, Packaging, Sugar Industry stalls.
  • Hall 14: Town of Export Excellence, Exports.
  • Hall 15: MSME, Manufacturers, Garments, Handicrafts, and Textiles.

This international trade fair is a significant step towards promoting business and showcasing the products and potential of Uttar Pradesh on a global platform.
