India Achieves Historic Milestone: Chandrayaan-3 Successfully Lands on Moon’s South Pole

The soft landing of Chandrayaan-3 has been accomplished successfully. India has become the first nation to reach the southern pole of the moon. With this achievement, India has created history.

On Wednesday evening, the lander module of Chandrayaan-3 touched down on the lunar surface. India has become the first country in the world to land on the southern pole of the moon. The lander module, equipped with a rover, achieved a soft landing on the lunar south polar region at around six in the evening, completing the touchdown in just four minutes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that this moment is unforgettable. Like every citizen of the country, my attention was focused on the Chandrayaan mission. I am connected with this excitement and enthusiasm, just like my fellow citizens and family members. India has reached that southern pole of the moon where no other country has reached until today. Numerous myths associated with the moon will now change.
