BJP Expresses Gratitude to PM Modi for Approval of Women’s Reservation Bill

Following the approval of the Women’s Reservation Bill in the cabinet, the BJP has expressed its gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The bill is set to be presented in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. Once this bill is implemented, 23 out of the state’s 70 legislative assembly seats will be reserved for women. The party has stated that this will empower women politically, as 23 women will enter the legislative assembly.

The state spokesperson for the party, Hani Pathak, hailed the historic step of getting approval for the Women’s Reservation Bill in the central cabinet and its presentation in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. He stated that Prime Minister Modi has always respected women’s empowerment. With the decision to provide 33 percent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and legislative assemblies, the entire political landscape is set to change.

With 33 percent reservation for women, 181 seats in the country’s supreme legislature will be reserved for women. Even in smaller states like Uttarakhand, 23 out of 70 seats will be reserved for women. This historic decision by the Prime Minister during the era of India’s independence will foster self-respect and self-confidence among women nationwide.

Uttarakhand’s land is known for empowering maternal strength. Women have always actively participated in movements like the historic Chipko Andolan in this region. Since the bill’s passage, women have gained more strength and representation in both the Lok Sabha and legislative assemblies.

Asha Nautiyal, the state president of BJP Mahila Morcha, remarked that women are very enthusiastic about the bill providing 33 percent reservation for women. She expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, saying that this will make women politically stronger. It will become easier for women to reach the Lok Sabha and legislative assemblies, and their issues will resonate more strongly in the supreme legislature.
