YouTube Will Soon Add Geographic Search

July 12 | Posted by Ankit | Google

Brian Glick disclosed this at a developer talk at YouTube’s San Bruno, Calif., campus on Thursday.
Glick said the feature was currently “in limited experimentation,” and would be launched “really soon.”

YouTube added the option to geotag videos when they’re uploaded a little over a year ago, but didn’t offer a way to do anything with that information. Google Earth does offer geotagged YouTube videos, but only for a subset of selected videos.

No release date has been announced as of now, but this w’ll probably isn’t too far.
