Advantages and Disadvantages of Posting Press Releases.

There are many companies posting press releases on there website or blogs .. so at to attract the attention of there users. Last week i was exploring one of the Indian News Portal … and wondered when i saw 90% of the content was from IANS and other News Agencies. The strange thing i noticed this time was instead of IANS and other News Agencies I saw Economic Times on #1 rank .. so i just tried to figure out the matter and came to know that …. IANS and other News Agencies require a login so as to proceed reading …. as a result Google bot is not able to crawl those stories .. and Economic Times which really deserve a #2 is getting #1 Position. Great luck here from Economic Times.

According to me there are below 3 different ways to provide a press release:

  1. Copy and paste release to your blog giving your readers a chance to read and share opinion.
  2. The other way is while posting a press release post your own thoughts.
  3. The final and my favorite way is when you quote some parts giving your comments.

There are many Advantages and Disadvantages of Press Release .. like when all the sources post same content there are many chances of getting some penalty from Google for dupe-content and the chances of being on the top becomes hard. If you use some Social Bookmarking sites then its a good idea of spreading you post using it.

Press Release helps your website and blog content moving. Mostly users thinks that its your own wring and chances of getting more readers gets increased. Remember there is always a chances of getting your story in supplement result… so commenting and providing some unique content to user will help in getting out of this supplement result issue.

One more important point to consider here is if you are doing a Press Release then make it sure that your website or blog have enough Google trust so that when ever you post a new Press Release it gets index in Google index just after few minutes it is published.
