Google Officially Confirmed Duplicate Content Penalty Does Not Exist
September 22nd, 2008 | by Ankit |Finally Google had officially confirmed that there is no such thing called Duplicate Penalty, So there is no need for webmaters to worry about this.
However, Google had clearly started that scrapping or republishing content from other websites without adding some additional information or value are clearly outlined (and discouraged) in Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.
According to the blog post made by Google’s Susan Moskwa, Webmaster Trends Analyst:
- Don’t create multiple pages, subdomains, or domains with substantially duplicate content.
- Avoid… “cookie cutter” approaches such as affiliate programs with little or no original content.
- If your site participates in an affiliate program, make sure that your site adds value. Provide unique and relevant content that gives users a reason to visit your site first.
If you are worrid and other peoples are scrapping your content then have a look at this helpful article.
