Gujarat Bomb Blasts

This year earlier it was Jaipur, Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Bangalore, Delhi (Twice), and Now again Gujarat So what the hell this is ? Are we safe ? Whats there next target ? Jaipur ? Bangalore ? Again Delhi ? or is this time none other then Mumbai ?

Two dead and several injured at Sabarkantha in Gujurat, According to the police, it was low intensity blast which took place in Modasa town of Sabarkantha today evening. The blast took place at a Muslim dominated area and is reported to have taken place at a time when a large crowd had congregated in the market before the festival of Eid.

According to the latest updates a bomb has been reported from Malegoen in Maharashtra left nearly 5 injured.

It is reported that 17 crude bombs were recovered from a rubbish bin in Ahmedabad today. According to reports, all the bombs have been defused by the bomb disposal squad.

A probe into who placed the bombs into the dustbin is on. No further detail on the incident is available yet.

I will try to update this post as soon as I will get some more additional info about the blast.

Google Toolbar 5 Available For Download

Google officially announced that Firefox 5.0 Google Toolbar is now available for download in 29 languages. Google Toolbar Fan’s were waiting for this release after they made a release for IE7.

This release includes all the features including but not limited to Search, Bookmarks and Translate. You can also try out some of the newest features.

Just downloaded it and its working kewl, A Must recommended tool for all webmasters !!

Yahoo SERP’s Update Towards The End Of September ?

I was shocked when webmasters started reporting about Major update in yahoo SERP’s at WebmasterWorld & DigitalPoint Forums later on confirmed by Barry at search engine land, Usually Yahoo!! used to update SERP’s the the begining of every month. Like we just had One Update at the beigining of this month.

However, Yahoo Search Blog haven’t confirmed about this situation but lets wish they do some official comment about this update.

Google Testing Snippets Size in SERP’s

Looks like Google is testing and allowing users to set the size of the search result snippet. Google is showing some additional options in the SERP’s like as shown in the below pic.

S = No snippets
M = 161 character description in the snippet area
L = 638 character description in the snippet area

This is really something which will help users to pick the right webpage to visit. Techcrunch reported the below pic about the L search snippet …

Looks like a nice idea to me.
