Its a hot debate between bloggers if Linkbait is fine or not !! My Personal view match with matt !! Linkbait is a technique to get backlinks and visitors on your website using some BlackHat technique !! I think if m not wrong: Techniques used so as to make your website or story popular using some shortcuts is called blackhat technique !! I was quite about this for a while but I had nothing left to say in favor of Matt Cutts as i just saw a Blogger posted on his blog about Matt’s April Fool Day’s Joke !! I think No that wasn’t a Linkbait that was a April Fool Day’s joke and I don’t think Google will ever give u penalty if u will do such post once in a year on 1st April right ??
Matt Cutts at Sphinn:
People are making wrong use of Social Media and now you can say it is the fastest becoming joke of the Internet. So It will be Kool if Google will take some immediate actions against such activities !! I will like to give all the Bloggers and Webmasters on the internet my 2 cent Advice ! Don’t make wrong use of Social Media !! Don’t make people call SEO as SPAM !! Think twice and ask yourself if what you are doing is ok ?

I saw a hot discussion on Flicker this morning can be seen here. Where a guy claimed that someone on orkut he dnt know is using his daughters picture on his/her Orkut profile !!
Copying images off Flickr or any other photography site to display in your albums or on your profile is WRONG! In most cases, it is in direct violation, of Copyright Laws which are enforceable INTERNATIONALLY! Copying these images is THEFT!
This is MY daughter… YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO BE USING ANY OF MY IMAGES!

www.orkut.com/Profile.aspx?uid=6661613890673758265
This is really bad !! Google have to look into this matter and have to take these kind of complains seriously and have to remove such pictures immediately if they want to keep the popularity and quality of there Social Networking Service.
I wish someone from the Orkut Team will look into this post and will take some immediate action against the peoples using the picture illegally !! Specially those 2 profiles mentioned above.

In my earlier post we talked about Google Penalties. I was exploring web and tried to find much about that and came across a Google Groups thread where a webmaster claimed that his website with Sitelinks has been slapped with a -60 Penalty. The search was for vacation realty and in the 61th position. I tried seeing the matter but was not able to see the site links and his website was at #67 but the user managed to provide a screen shot !!

So i think there is no doubt that the webmaster is seeing the above result on his computer. May be i was late to view that thread ..
How ever JohnMu asked the webmaster to have a look at a thread with -60 penalty Can be seen here.
The strange thing is that this is not the first time earlier at Google Groups Matt Cutts replied to a -60 Penalty thread !!
ShyBoy, have you been collecting backlinks in any unusual ways? It
looks like you may have, and I would pay special attention to that.
For example, if you had been attempting to get PageRank via paid links
on various templates, then when that PageRank stops flowing (e.g. if
Google improves its detection in various ways), the fact that you have
less PageRank can also mean that a site won’t rank as well.
If that applies to you, my advice would be to pay special attention to
that issue, in addition to the other good advice you’ve already
gotten.
Matt
So i think its nearly clear as of now that Google gives -60 penalty for the webmasters involved in bad links and neighborhood !!
This is also a Good News for Webmasters Looking to Beat Websites with SiteLinks.
